Although Jedi: Fallen Order showcases how good a modern AAA Star Wars title can be, the era of Star Wars games under Disney's control has fallen short overall. New management often brings shakeups, and Disney's purchase of Star Wars in 2012 immediately raised concerns that projects in development could meet an early end. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order now has an improved framerate on PS5 and the new Xbox hardware. These consoles also now run the game at a higher resolution on average. I basically bought this game on impulse a few weeks ago, as I'm a fan of Star Wars and I've heard good things about this one, particularly the fact that you could become a true Jedi which is always a badass proposition. This game ended up surprising me in more ways However, in Fallen Order, the game is set within a pre-existing fictional universe with established rules and design choices, which makes some of the design decisions feel a bit more random. So you got the hint, you’ve played it Dark Souls is a lot more slow and methodical and far more brutal than jedi fallen order imo. Other than the combat, the game is pretty much Tomb Raider: Star Wars - which is a good thing. The world structure is similar in that you have areas you go back and forth through, unlocking shortcuts as you progress. It's quite good and this is coming from someone who has flat 0 interest in Star Wars. If all licensed games like Fallen Order, the Batman Arkham series and KotoR 1 and 2 were the norm, oh what a world it would be. I picked up Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on a whim since it was on sale for $4 and I heard good things about it - the idea of a Star Wars game with solid combat definitely intrigued me. Overall Rating: 6 / 10. Fallen Order was decent/above-average. I had a good amount of fun playing it, but it definitely wore off on me towards the end. Finally a new Star Wars game! EA took inspiration from titles like Dark Souls, Sekiro, Uncharted, and Tomb Raider, and the rich Star Wars lore takes it to the next level. I had to move the fallen order files and generate a new one. That being said I need to compare the old file to new and see which performs better.
